Hi everyone,

Hopefully you have had another good week!

This is our last week of work and we will send out a Summer project for the holidays.

This week is a little bit different, the children need to complete this booklet for their Year One teacher.

Make a Year One wish

Most importantly, your teacher would like to see a photograph of you. Please take a photograph and write a speech bubble saying

My name is ……

You can use the template or make one of your own.

Please email your picture to wrenclass@cirrustrust.onmicrosoft

I will print them out and pass them onto Mrs Pari and Miss Webster.

Maths

For maths continue to use Numbots, I will email certificates at the end of the week for you to print out.

Reading

Please continue to support your child to read over the Summer, the children should be confident with red level books and moving onto yellow books ready for Year One.

You can visit the Oxford Owl website for free e books and lots of activities and information to support your child’s reading skills.

Remember to have a go at the tricky words each day to help your child learn them by sight.

Our Star of the week Riley for his amazing bird box and his great sounding out to match the words on the cards.
I hope some birds come to visit your bird box!

Hi Everyone,

hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves. At school we have been enjoying the sunshine and have been outside exploring a lot.

This week we have been enjoying the story of What the Ladybird heard and we had a go at making our own ladybirds.

Well done to Pearl , you were really trying hard with your independent writing.

Well done to Ibrahim, you are working really hard at home to complete all your tasks.

Ava and Adam have sent me some writing this week, she wrote about a monster with green lipstick and a purple nose. Adam drew a spider and wrote some spider facts.

Fantastic Ava, you have remembered a capital letter, full stop and finger spaces.
I love your letter formation and I can see you have used your phonics to sound out. Great work!

Here are some pictures from home and school from our learning last week.

Our story for this week is Super Worm!

Thank you to everyone who is sending in work. Please continue to send work in. Please read everyday. The children working at home should be working towards Early Learning Goals to support the transition into Year One.

Please remember when you are writing the children should be having a go at sounding out using their phonics skills to write their sentence independently.

Please also remember that we write using lower case letters, using the Read Write Inc rhymes to help us.
